The Roanoke Dental Center team

From Dr. Sowers to Dr. Willis

Roanoke Dental Center carries a long history of service to this community. For more than twenty years, Dr. Steven Sowers cared for Cave Spring families from this practice, building the kind of reputation that only comes from seeing the same patients, and then their children, year after year.

When Dr. Sowers was ready to hand the practice forward, he did it the way patients would want: doctor to doctor. Dr. James Willis, a Virginia dentist whose career has centered on cosmetic and restorative dentistry, took ownership and has invested in the practice ever since. The team, the technology, and the standard of care Roanoke patients experience in every chair all reflect that commitment.

Today your care is in the hands of Dr. Syed Razi and Dr. David Perry, and that is exactly how Dr. Willis built it: a practice strong enough to stand on its doctors, with a founder close enough to keep it that way.

Two offices, one practice

Roanoke Dental Center serves the Roanoke Valley from two Cave Spring locations, both in the 24018 ZIP code. Our Electric Rd office sits just off Route 419, led by Dr. David Perry. Our Brambleton Ave office is a neighborhood practice led by Dr. Syed Razi. Both offices are open Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and both share the same records, the same standards, and the same no-pressure approach to treatment planning.

Having two front doors means shorter drives, easier scheduling, and a familiar team no matter which office you walk into. Compare both on our locations page.

How we practice

The philosophy here is simple: explain everything in plain English, show patients what we see, and let them set the pace. We offer nitrous oxide for patients who want help staying relaxed, and we build treatment plans around what each patient actually needs, never around a sales target. Read more about our approach on the patient comfort page.

Rooted in the Star City

Roanoke is the Star City of the South, and this practice is proud to be part of it. Our patients come from Cave Spring, Roanoke, Salem, Vinton, and Botetourt County, and many have been coming for decades. Whether you found us through a neighbor, a coworker, or a search for a dentist near Route 419, we would be glad to meet you. Start here as a new patient or reserve a visit online any time.
