First, the honest part
We are not affiliated with Carilion in any way, no contract, no partnership, no inside track. We are an independent local practice that happens to count a lot of Carilion nurses, techs, physicians, and office staff among our patients, and over the years we have gotten good at scheduling around the realities of healthcare work. This page exists because those patients kept telling coworkers about us.
Scheduling built around shifts
Our clinical week runs Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, and we use every edge of it. The 8 AM slots suit day-shifters before work and night-shifters right after handoff, when a cleaning beats fighting for sleep anyway. Lunch-hour visits work for a cleaning and exam when you tell us your hard stop, and late-afternoon slots catch the pre-shift window. Tell the front desk your rotation and we will schedule to it rather than around it.
Two offices on sensible commute lines
Both offices sit in Cave Spring on the roads southwest Roanoke actually drives. The Electric Rd office at 2660 Electric Rd Suite A is just off Route 419, an easy reach from the Franklin Rd and Route 220 corridors that carry so much hospital traffic. The Brambleton Ave office at 4907 Brambleton Ave covers the other main artery home. Free parking at the door at both, because nobody who parks at a hospital all week wants a garage on their day off.

Care that fits compressed weeks
Healthcare workers postpone their own care more than anyone; we try to make catching up painless. Where clinically sensible we consolidate visits, and the bigger services stay in-house: non-surgical root canals, CBCT 3D imaging at both offices, Invisalign, and an implant program led by Dr. Aaron Smith. Nitrous oxide is available, no judgment, clinicians make famously nervous patients. No, and we will not pretend otherwise. We are an independent local dental practice with a lot of Carilion employees in the patient family. No affiliation, just neighbors who keep similar hours and understand what a twelve-hour shift does to a calendar.
Will you take my dental benefits?+
Bring your dental benefits card or plan details and our front desk will verify your coverage before your visit, then give you a clear estimate of any out-of-pocket cost before treatment starts. If your plan changes at open enrollment, tell us and we will re-verify.
Can I really get in and out during a lunch break?+
For a routine cleaning and exam, usually yes, if you book it as a lunch visit so we seat you on time. Be realistic about the round trip from your unit or office, and tell the front desk your hard stop. We would rather schedule honestly than have you watching the clock in the chair.
What about night shift? Mornings are my evenings.+
The 8 AM slot right after a night shift works surprisingly well for many patients, done before sleep, no alarm interruption later. The other pattern that works is late afternoon before your shift starts. Tell us your rotation and we will find the seam.
What if I chip a tooth mid-week and work the next three days?+
Call anyway, phones are answered 24 hours a day by our smart answering system. Same-day and next-morning slots are typical for urgent problems, and with two offices we can often fit a repair into the one open window your week has.
